Bruised & Battered by Cicely Ames

My heart shatters into a million little pieces, 
Picked off one by one,  
I lost some one, I lost myself, my heart is broken,  
Attached to my heart is a love note with a dragonfly. 
It gives me courage to go on and be strong. 
Even when torched with pain, I scream “stop,” but no one listen’s
My voice gets louder, until I can’t take it anymore.
